Dr. Perlmutter: Stay Away from Orange Juice

A glass of orange juice does contain some vitamin C, but it hardly outweighs the fact that orange juice is loaded with sugar, argues Dr. David Perlmutter. A single 12 ounce glass contains 9 teaspoons of sugar, which equates to 36 grams of carbs, about half of what you should consume in a day.
